For this one we’ve given our signature flaky pie crust a lovely nutty flavour with the inclusion of some gorgeous Irish rye. The nuttiness added by the rye helps take the Rhubarb and Frangipane Pie to a whole new level.
We cut the richness of the brown butter frangipane by hitting it with a little bit of orange zest and plenty delicious Irish rhubarb. It’s the perfect balance of sweet, nutty and tart in a big dirty ol’ pie.
A note on sourcing for this pie- The flours and butter used in the base are 100% grown and milled in Ireland, the buttery frangipane is also made using 100% Irish butter with a touch of Italian citrus zest and the Rhubarb, as mentioned, is from Ryans just a few minutes up the road.
